Shock is an indy wrestling veteran, breaking into the industry while he was still in high school at the tender young age of 16 and trained by the incomparable Iron Mike Sharpe at his school in Asbury Park, NJ. Being told he had the "It Factor" on day one of training, Shock was immediately booked and started working shows within a few months. He would go on to have a relatively modest career and work for about a dozen different promotions in NJ and PA, win some titles and the respect of fans and peers. Known for being "Snug" in the ring, protecting the business was important to Shock.
Originally debuting as "Uhnaun Imos" (pronounced "anonymous" or "Yoo-nan-imus" if you're Dapper Johnny Falco) taken from his previous days in backyard wrestling, from December 27th, 1997 - March 24th, 2000. The Uhnaun Imos name was dropped because promoters could not pronounce nor spell it correctly on flyers.
Today, Shock enjoys bitterly criticizing the business he once loved as it continues to forget what exactly that business is, having never really gone anywhere himself. He lives by the motto "If you wouldn't buy it, don't sell it."
After retiring from in ring competition in 2013, Shock briefly became the "Sound Guy" for FWF when comments on his Podcast made the existing sound guy quit. Shock would also reprise this role for a couple of RTF Wrestling Shows in 2014. Unfortunately, Shock was not able to work with many names that might have helped him improve his craft, as being in the smaller corners of independent wrestling after leaving NWA did provide many challenging opponents.
Shock's style is a perfect combination of power, scientific, and high flying. Some refer to Shock as "The American Liger" as he can wrestle any style and incorporates it all into one unique brand of wrestling where there is something for everyone, from surprising feat of strength, grounded or chain wrestling, to a crisp drop kick, or a completely unexpected standing moonsault. Shock has experience in singles, Triple Threats, Fatal Fourways, Tag Team, 6 Man Tag, multi-man team elimination (a la Survivor Series), Royal Rumble and Battle Royales, and has even been known to swing a steel chair or singapore cane from time to time.
Shock has worked for the following Promotions in this order:
