Shock is an indy wrestling veteran, breaking into the industry while he was still in high school at the tender young age of 16 and trained by the incomparable Iron Mike Sharpe at his school in Asbury Park, NJ. Being told he had the "It Factor" on day one of training, Shock was immediately booked and started working shows within a few months.
